The following are the non standard, non obvious (as in you can't see them documented in the menus) key-strokes.
| CTRL + Up Arrow CTRL + Down Arrow |
Useful when in the input box. Will scroll up and down through the last FIVE (5) commands you have entered. Scrolling past the fifth element will clear the input box. |
| CTRL + End | Useful when in the input box. Cancels a command recall (as above), and clears the contents of the input box. |
| CTRL + Tab | Toggles through active worlds. |
| Ctrl + Insert | Copies the selected text in either the display or input boxes. |
| Shift + Insert | Pastes clipboard text to the input box. Note, using other past hotkey combos may result in formatted/color text being pasted into the input box. This isn't level, but can be hard to read. |
| Ctrl + Enter | Useful when in the input box. This will add a soft return to the input box, allowing you to manually stack multiple commands, which upon the next press of the Enter key, will all be sent at once. |
| F1 thru F10 | These keys are mapped to the Hot-Key macros you have defined for a given world. |
Url stuff:
GrMud uses default windows Url detection returns for picking up web and email addresses. Most unqualified web addresses beginning with www.* will be marked up automagically.
Urls not following this pattern not be marked up unless you help GrMud along. Any standard, fully qualified href will pose no problems. For instance, http://notwww.somewhere.com or mailto:someone@somwhere.com
Clicking on an Url in the display box LOCKS your display. This means that until you click back into the Input Box, new text will not be added to the Display Box. This is the behavior any time you click in the Display box (say to copy some text out).
